Evangelism Committee

At Our Saviour’s Church, Evangelism Committee members are goodwill ambassadors of the church. The committee consists of six members and a church council representative. The committee meets monthly on the 4th Monday of the month.

"We have a variety of responsibilities. Officially, we share our faith, encourage membership, and enrich the spiritual life and sense of community within the congregation."

Practically speaking, our duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Recording weekly worship attendance
  • Maintaining the nursery, including providing supplies, maintaining toys, and scheduling nursery volunteers
  • Designing and printing brochures for new members and distributing them at community events
  • Providing a welcome meal for new members and refreshments for new member classes
  • Overseeing coffee hour schedules and supplies
  • Creating and maintaining the Fountain View Service schedule. Services are led by several committees and groups in the church, including the Evangelism Committee

In addition, our church, as part of the Ripon Area Clergy Association (RACA), participates in Ripon College events such as their Back to School Picnic and ‘Twas the Night Before Finals. This committee organizes our congregation’s contributions of food and volunteers.

Every five years our church has a new directory that includes portraits of members, candid photos of church events and activities, and names, addresses, and phone numbers of members.

We also send cards (signed by members at weekly services) to members and friends who are ill or grieving.

We hope you will consider being on the Evangelism Committee!
